How long must i wait to hear some reports from camp ? Lol..

Somebody say something! 🤷‍♂️ Lol. What was the naughty little Devils up to over camp weekend, without giving away anything for sure ?

So, I didn't end up going at all.

As I was checking out their social media on Friday and Saturday morning, it looks like they were mostly doing visual and music workshops and sectionals indoors. I didn't want to risk driving 1hr45 over there only to be turned away or not have access.

😕

Oh man, that sucks. I love your descriptions, that would have been an intriguing read. I guess chatter may be had elsewhere, and if BD stay the course of show reveal schedule, then in over two weeks time we can expect it.

So far the three times I've/we've gotten any feed back of BD 2026, is from Metalbinky and Daygo here from their last visit to camp, and the music details is very interesting and intriguing without any spoilers, and it left me feeling so high on the potential of BD 26 coming in hot this summer.

I don't have much to post because of the dead silence which is very normal.  And I've heard online feedback twice, just mainly vague, no details.. Those individuals were very very excited from what they've heard. They both loving what they're hearing..

They all pointed out: How different BD is this year, and how they are just so excited and loving what they've heard.. I also came across GE YouTube where one of the young man shares some spoilers, but of course without giving away details... He shares this same sentiment on BD, and state they may be pulling a little from RCC, and places BD back in medal position, now i say take that with a grain of salt, since there aren't any shows out yet to judge from.

However, whatever happened at BD camps, and going into spring training, i am confident it's going to be different and really good, a bounce back year for BD always puts me in a very anxious place, so i decided to just not talk much over anything BD 26 and let them do the talking when the season starts. But i am going to always be hyped for them regardless, and be hyped for the season in general, because of the possibilities, and the for the same that lies ahead with all the corps.

BD after last year end of season, stated on their website, they were already hitting the ground ready for 2026, and there were so much enthusiasm from staff and corps members. They are working together and looking at new direction, experimenting with fresh/new ideaspushing creativity "Blue Devils 2026 is already feeling like it’s going to be a special one" Jaime Holly-staff member.

RCC's show this year reminded me strongly of the video BD did for the "celebration year" in 2021 in lieu of making a trip to Indy with their kids. When I saw that video in 2021 I instantly had the feeling "they're playing with an entirely new visual and musical vocabulary here...we gonna see that on the field in 2022?"

We haven't really seen it yet from BD, but that RCC show...whew, that was it.  Given that BD staff reportedly plans their shows years out in advance something they were experimenting with in 2021 might have also been left to simmer and cook in the process as the planned shows for 22, 23, 24 and 25 were fleshed out...and we be on the verge of seeing that shift.

If so, I'm ready for it.  I think it'd work super well and put them right back in the conversation with Bloo and BAC's design games.

This.  Other Worlds.  That's the video for the celebration year I'm thinking of. It got a lot of flak for "BD goes to a rave" which...is not entirely wrong.  But if you look at the movement and such, you see some signature BD things but also a pretty strong shift out of what we've seen on the field from them.

The RCC show from this year for reference too

Best case scenario from BD this year:

  • P!ss clean hornline
  • Demanding yet achievable drill (PLEASE more forms and less scatters, be intentional about the scatters)
  • Uniforms that are undoubtedly BD but still work in the show theme's favor
  • More full ensemble moments and builds
  • Something abstract yet consumable to every audience member

I think 2025 was a move in both the right AND the wrong direction, but I have no doubts BD knows this. I have extremely high hopes for this season and can't wait to see what BD puts on the field.

We got a show reveal on May 1 last season, so be on the look out in the next week or two (hopefully only 1!).

Everyone is really excited about the show this year, and it was so fun to watch camp this weekend!!  Sorry that I have nothing more to add, but hopefully you'll get an official tease soon!

I had a similar thought to yours when i saw RCC show, how it looked so similar to BD 2021 presentation for the celebration show.. I didn't think too hard but i also wondered if they were just testing the idea out. Let's see what they do, it's more likely be something else lol..

While I was in Europe traveling, I was forwarded a video of the run through.  I got through the first 5 minutes which were the same movements that I heard during their Riverside camp.   It was just cleaner.  Since I was at dinner with friends, I decided to watch the remaining later when I returned to my hotel.   Then, the unimaginable happened - “This Video is Private”

UGHH!!!   I did hear that the show sound design seemed mid-season form, this from a 3 year vet.

I was privy to the show theme, but I’m afraid I can’t divulge the information I was provided.  I’m extremely intrigued from what I’ve heard
