I think they kept building the emotional impact and power right through finals. The audience roared for them. It was a great show, and was surging right to the end like everyone else. They simply never quite achieved the laser-like clarity of the corps above them. I have faith that there will be plenty of talented kids who buy into their style and will help propel them even higher. Yeah it was breathtaking and creatively bold/fresh. I am so excited creatively by what they're doing as of late. If a show completely lands and they keep improving in performance quality they're looking at a medal in the near future. 1 Quote
KVG_DC Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 Yeah same. It didn’t lose steam, the competitive environment around them was just different than last year. I trust this team to come back with something very Phantom for the anniversary year 2 Quote

What I meant is there was no new wrinkle to the closer, some of the guard work was scaled back, while others added on GE. Maybe the design met its limit? When they got stuck in the 93s for scores I had a feeling they would finish 6th. Quote
