In space! That’s it! A Firefly show! Maybe that’s Troopers’ show.

JAYNE!  The man the called JAYNE!

If a corps does that, a serious number of the crowd is gonna be singing along.

The appearance of Courtney Swain to do that version of Creep (which is great!) several times, including the Canton encore, makes me wonder if they're in talks to announce a residency with her.  It'd be a stylistic shift again but I could see that being another amazing residency.

That's assuming Bloo is wanting to do a residency thing again.  They sort of got hemmed in a bit this year getting the closer on in the shortened season, but it ended up just amazing.

How about a show that makes everyone happy.

Something for the traditionalists, something with some throwback music, but a modern twist. A dash of whimsy to capture the spirit of Bloo. But underlying it all, something that requires discipline, musicianship, and attention to detail.

I give you ........ Bloo Velvet Nights - complete with blue tux jackets (with the sleeves rolled up), blue baseball caps, and instead of Chuck Taylor All-Stars, Blue Crocs.

NGL.  Angelo Badalamenti's music could work in that weird ethereal way.

Or they could do the spirit of VK and do A Bloo Suede Shoes show.  An Elvis show in the vein of their Beatles show would be FUN.

I would be in heaven if a corps did a Lynchian themed show (RIP David Lynch 😞) and Badalamenti certainly had some great collaborations with Lynch. It would be tough to arrange it in a way that scored well, but it could work as a ballad- if anyone could do it, Bloo could.

A Twin Peaks show? Blue Velvet?

I know right. I'm imagining a ballad of Crying Ala Muholland Drive.  Bloo certainly knows how to record and replay on the field.  They could do the Silenco. No hay banda. moment perfectly by recording the melody earlier then reaching the hit and they all fall down silent while the music continues flawlessly.

I mean a ballad inspired by a movie scene has been done to great effect before.  La Strada 2014.
