KVG_DC Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 But really, isn't it hilarious that we can throw out such wildly disparate ideas and they seem entirely plausible? We have NO idea where Bloo is going next because that's sort of their thing now. Two years of something wild then ... oh let's do something like this now...and while it's got a number of earmarked techniques and such that carry thorough, the thematic shift can be dramatically wild and still work. 1 2 Quote

I really wish son lux was staying longer! A few of my friends went to finals, with one of them being Ryan lott's neice, so they got seats in the bluecoats box. I'm so jealous! I in general just think son lux captures the bluecoats 'sound' really well, and i'm already sad preparing to hear the different sound next year... They HAVE done quite well these past two seasons. Well, what can I say...... change is everything 🙂 2 Quote

Has Bluecoats done any Thank You Scientist since their collaboration right before the pandemic? Quote

MarkHornGA Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 I just listened to this for the first time. I know this is the wrong year thread, but man this brass book was absolutely otherworldly. The judge said something in there that struck me, "the education that you're receiving and the way you communicate that is unlike anyone else that I've heard..." 4 Quote

I’m so glad that the Cavaliers let Kevin LeBoeuf go. 3 1 Quote

It'd be a stylistic shift again but I could see that being another amazing residency. That's assuming Bloo is wanting to do a residency thing again. They sort of got hemmed in a bit this year getting the closer on in the shortened season, but it ended up just amazing. It is a stupendous learning lesson for the kids. Because folks that’s the real world when working with artists. 1 Quote
besson57 Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I've always wanted to hear someone put John Adams's Grand Pianola Music on the field, and it seems like Bloo likes to feature a minimalist composer here and there. No idea what the theme would be or what selections could go along with it, I'd just really love to hear it. Quote
