bump!

bluecoats, in my opinion, are king at beautiful ballads utilizing more "modern" tracks as opposed to classical music. their adaption and arrangement of ____45_____ by bon iver still remains to this day as one of the greatest and most expressive ballads of the decade so far, imo.

i bring all this up to say, i have been listening to this album from a modern New York underground legend Cameron Winter, and his song "Drinking Age" feels like it has all the marks of an absolutely stellar and moving ballad for Bloo to adapt.

i'm sure this wont happen, the staff already have a pretty decided selection of music usually, but if anyone out there at bluecoats see this someway somehow, please consider this!

yeah, that's kind of why i think the bluecoats should do it, i never envisioned grow til tall, ____45_____, or Solitude being first pick choices for a drum corps show, but bloo just knows how to make it happen.  they love to adapt artsy "obscure" type songs for their programs. well, as obscure as bon iver and m83 can realistically be hah.

They really elevated ____45____ from its source material. When I finally listened to the Bon Iver track, disappointed would be an understatement. I was expecting something a little more lyrically rich.

Boy….that arrangement is fire. Makes me wish they’d give us a Christmas show one year.

Nicccccceeeee.

Bloo can make anything sound good. Take those carols and modernize them with their signature soundscaping. It’d make me appreciate Christmas music more.
