bluecoats88 Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 In addition to Boston winning their first founders trophy, both Cavaliers and Blue Knights set the Highest Score Records on finals night for 9th and 12th places respectively. 2 Quote
kdaddy Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 Not a record, but not often... a corps has won brass, percussion, and guard in the same year just five times: 1973, 1986, 1997, 2005, 2025 1 Quote

Just saying. 3 Quote

Popular Post Chief Guns Posted August 11, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 11, 2025 While maybe not a record setter most care about nor pay attention to, I am going to highlight the Mandarins beating the Blue Devils in Music Analysis Thursday night. Outside of proximity from Sacramento to Concord, this is the first time the Mandarins have been this close or beaten BD in ANYTHING. If someone told us 10 years ago, heck even five years ago that the Mandarins would be good enough to take a caption from BD, that person probably would have been laughed off this site. Congrats to the Mandarins on that record setter, and as someone posted in another thread yesterday, the Mandarins are indeed on the clock for being next in line to win a title. 16 Quote

Whiskey Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 Is this the first time a Brass Caption head has won a title with three different corps they lead? Congratulations to Gino and the brass staff! 4 Quote
bluecoats88 Posted August 11, 2025 Author Posted August 11, 2025 no that was troopers personal best, but not the highest ever for 10th, that was set a few years back and I think it was a 90.8. Quote

If you had told that to someone 10 years ago, they probably would have assumed something had happened to BD to cause them to drop out of finals not that Mandarins had become a top 7 corps. and I also heard this is the 1st time Troopers finished in the 90's 3 Quote
