This was due to the court granting a re-opening of discovery that both Plaintiff and Defendant agreed to. This happened on August 20th. If you read the court's order, it's clear that the presiding judge is losing patience with both parties in the case. It's stated that no further motions for continuation will be considered. The defendants' attorney is the one who agreed to this continuation, BTW. Either they hope to get more information from an extended discovery period or they hope to use the time to negotiate a settlement, IMHO. I don't know if the trial would be in front of a jury or simply the bench. The outcome of a trial would be a 50/50 proposition, seems to me. 1 Quote
olddrummer34 Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 It becomes obvious when reading the courts order that nothing will come of this case. There is nothing illegal that took place and the courts order read as though the judge is about ready to dismiss. Quote

MikeZ Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 I have no doubt that the intention was well meaning, but i feel the podcast episode will have the opposite of the intended effect. Z Quote
