It was loose and choppy all season then the last sprint it just had a total glow up with pacing and energy. 1 Quote
Brian-Niccol Posted January 23 Posted January 23 This is what I understand from some people Ive talked to (not to say everything Im saying is truth, thats plain silly. its January haha): BAC: Boston is losing a ton of vets, especially in the brass but their pit and brass books are a step up in demand, so if they can pull amazing talent they can hold their spot Bloo: They have their strongest brass line talent wise (so far), and were probably going to see a major tone shift due to their 2 year silent rule of switching it up (14/15, 16/17, 22/23, 24/25) BD SCV and Crown are complete wildcards for the top 6, and Cavies are the biggest 7-12 wildcard right now Blue Stars brass sounds amazing right now, and it would be cool to see Crest pull up to finals after years of “what if”-ing Now for my way too early prediction considering I along with many people know nothing about over half these corps: 1. Bluecoats 2. SCV 3. BD(Range from 4th-1st) 4. Boston (not underselling, just losing tons of vets is the reason 1st place drops a lot typically besides 2000s-2010s BD) 5. Phantom 6. Crown (maybe need a year with Rosie and Keith before becoming medal competitive, maybe not) 7. Blue Stars 8. Cavaliers 9. Troopers 10. Blue Knights 11. Colts 12. Crest (eh? Ehhh?? :D) Quote

Everglow was an evergreen moment that season, especially at Prelims when they went on without a warmup and laid down an incredible performance. Quote
KVG_DC Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) I just remember going from "eh, this could be more" to "oh wow they really sold the La La Land to me!" They really got those kids to buy into the show and perform the snot out of it with verve. We were all "they probably could have layered more if they knew the kids were gonna light it up that much." Ashontheinternet Posted January 24 Posted January 24 i will always root for Bloo, but theres something in my ear telling me it's Vanguards year. not going to make a real prediction but im really excited for this season. 1 Quote

Those two are gonna throw down hard this year. Both of those corps are known for doing shows multiple years in a row that branch off their existing theme or aesthetic. I wouldn’t mind seeing Bloo push further into physics and SCV go deeper into the bizarre art space. So much content and inspiration in those avenues that it’d still feel fresh while also elevating the concepts from this year. Above concept, I pray we see Bloo push soundscaping further and SCV is push choreography upward again bc they are in leagues of their own in those niches. 1 Quote
