I always watch the opening and closing ceremonies and wonder if show designers are watching to steal cool ideas. Some of this stuff would be easy to translate. The whole solar system section is so SCV.

yes but the field was less cluttered and that music you knew it was coming through the speakers

I am not a huge Andrea Bocelli fan, or I should say not a fan of his voice. I do find his determination amazing and he does know how to perform for a crowd. I also believe Pavarotti’s version of “Nessun Dorma” is the definitive one and even tenors I love like Bjorling, Corelli, Domingo, and Kauffman do not come close. However when I heard Bocelli at the opening ceremony, I had to eat my words. It was beautifully performed and mesmerized the audience at the stadium and those watching around the world.
