how_bad_sure Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I am sure most DCP Planet members have walked up "THE Hill" at J Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown from the Main entrance. "THE Hill" remains one of the constants from year to year, and next year will be our 46th year attending, although we have missed a few years here and there. AND guess what? We have become the "old timers" in the crowd. It was always a hot in summer when they had prelims going up "THe Hill". One thing I will never forget is the look on my 11 year old daughter's face walking up "THE Hill ". Her face said," Dad what are you doing to me!". Anyways, I digress.... Now that we are "old timers" is there another entrance that is still in use at the top? DCI Volunteers are nice and helpful, but do NOT offer any assistance, golf cart ride, wheel chair etc. Advice please! and Thanks! 1 Quote

With my bad knees, I have tried both. If storms are in the forecast, i will always opt to WALK up and RUN down! 1 1 Quote
Jeff Ream Posted February 18 Posted February 18 win powerball and build a new stadium. it's hands down the most profitable show DCI runs, and one of the few with tradition still in use on the tour 1 Quote
keystone3ply Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The 'Reitz Bowl' venue in Evansville has an annoying hill for equipment entering the stadium. At my age, I think all drum corps (football) venues should be level, enclosed with AC, & a ton of extra urinals. 😁 1 Quote
