Championships update

The DCI story about Open Class Championships moving to Dayton had this bit of info below. Memphis Blues is already on the list, currently 20 WC and 11 OC corps. Add Eclipse plus at least 2 International groups (note the word "several") and that makes 34 total, or maintaining the same number as last year. If more than 2 Int'l groups, than Thursday's World Championship prelims number would increase from last year barring anyone cancelling their season.

• Memphis Blues will make their debut appearance competing for the Open Class title, as will Eclipse, pending a springtime evaluation as the Indianapolis-based ensemble aims for its Open Class Affiliate status.
• Blue Devils B and Heat Wave return to the World Championships stage for the first time since 2024 and 2019, respectively.
• International flavor: DCI is currently finalizing plans for several International Class ensembles to join the event
