Just saw on SCV's Facebook page that they have accepted an invitation to march in the 2027 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena! Great way to kick off the Corp's 60th Anniversary Celebration!

Neat!   I imagine they'll go with a current season (perhaps forthcoming season?) membership and alumni combo given that the Rose Parade tends to favor big big marching units.  That'd make it a special marker for the anniversary year too since they did an alumni show with finals for the 50th.

Wait.  You're saying if I skip out on having birthday parties I can stay young forever?

Hot dog!  I'm in.

I’m gonna get hate mail for asking this, but if they took off a season in 2021 (the exhibition year) and then 2023, is it really their 60th anniversary?

Bluecoats didn't field for a couple seasons and still celebrated their 50th in 2022.

Heck, they called 2018 "Session 44" because it was their 44th season on the field, even though it was their 46th year of existence.

Seems like I just watched the 50th anniversary corps.

Alas, I was not so lucky to be born on such a day.

There was an mm I taught years ago who was a leap year baby (Feb. 29). I think he is about to age out.  He can start collecting social security next year.  LOL
