So I had been maintaining an annual subscription for a few reasons. One to show my faith and hope that more subscribers to the service might result in stronger investments from the service provider. The other on the off chance of looking at other marching content (fall HS or WGI).  I found out today I have been a subscriber since 2017.

But I caught this e-mail today:

"Let's keep you in the action! We want to remind you that your Yearly FloMarching subscription will renew soon. We're committed to enhancing your sports streaming experience, and are updating our prices to bring you top-notch content and cutting-edge features. Your annual price will increase to $155.88 starting on your next billing cycle..."

Between plans to attend the San Antonio show and finals (for my first trip since 2007), I just can't justify the annual cost.  I might return next year for the patented 2-month DCI subscription.  Of note, when I actually went to cancel (which can all be done online without speaking to a human), they did offer a 20% discount not to cancel. Your mileage may vary.

sadly, nothing is getting cheaper. so $158 for the year....given the amount of hours i watched Flo during WGI percussion week and DCi finals week, thats like $2 an hour....not counting other regionals for WGI, regular season shows for DCI, plus any replays.....not thrilled its going up, but on the other hand it more than pays for itself.

I do believe they did some USBands last fall maybe....or was that Box5? Probably not them they do BOA

It’s like lately I’ve seen a ton of people complaining about the “outrageous” price of the NFL Sunday Ticket. But when you break it down, it’s $27 a week during the season which doesn’t even get you into one live game a year, but people complain. You just have to decide if it’s worth it to you. 🤷‍♂️

To be clear, I don't think it was my intention to complain. It's just a value proposition in the times we are experiencing. As noted, it will all be reevaluated next year in my case.

Just looking to offer a heads-up to those who may miss their own email.

Irony.  I'm watching Flo right now for my hometown hockey team in the ECHL playoffs.  Between stuff like this, WGI, and DCI and the random band contest at times, I get my money out of it

I still think it's a good deal, especially with the amount of AHL, ECHL, and Canadian Major Juniors that they stream now.

We have a couple local NASCAR tracks that Flo streams.

NASCAR is like Drum Corps used to be - about 8 different divisions, with 9-yr olds in souped up go-karts locally all the way through the big teams at Talladega.  It doesn’t cost much $ to start at the lower levels, you can compete locally, and the competition is pretty good within each group.

Flomarching is  cheap. Your idea of a value proposition and mine are completely opposite.  . My subscription renews in October.   I used to average going to 12 shows a year even when I lived on the West Coast, East Coast and the Midwest..   I have lived in Indianapolis for the past ten years.   I can't justify going to any show that is going to be on Flo except championship  week and even then I watch part of the  prelims, semis and all age on Flo.   What is nice about Flo is you can pick and choose  which corps or WGI groups you want to watch.   DCI and WGI have gone into overload mode.  To many corps or groups performing at many events.   When you add up the cost of tickets, airfare, car rental, hotel, gas, and food is gets costly fast if you are on a fixed income.    I want to support  several corps but attending  shows  is not the best way to go.  I will just donate another way.  For 2026 I am  attending only one out of town event   Crowns Aug 26th show in Winston Salem    Fly out Saturday morning, watch Atlanta on Flo in my hotel room Saturday night,  attend show on Sunday and fly home Monday afternoon.    Cost for the weekend  $1200.  maybe more.  Those who get Flo for only two months are making a big mistake.
