TheOneWhoKnows Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I am sooooo intrigued with the potential that this concept has visually within our activity 1 1 Quote
NewArpege Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Cool theme. A lot of ways they could bring that together. I’m picturing playing with control and loss of control as they push boundaries. Was just chatting with someone about the number of dark shows this year. Seems like we are getting many of them this year. Wonder what’s driving that? 2 Quote

Feels like any show that isn’t explicitly Americana is now considered dark. This label is so tired. Congrats to SCV. This theme and music is fantastic and another great vehicle. I truly hope the they build off of last year and push closer to a title. Quote

The piece Bianá by the Barbatuques (see kadaddy’s video post above), that is. I admit I didn’t listen to it then, but I sure am now! Can’t wait. Edited May 30 by Quad Aces 2 Quote
Liahona Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Now this show has my attention already. That composer list feels like SCV could be coming out swinging. A lot of tension, color, pulse, and room for those moments where Vanguard just grabs you by the throat. If they lean into it, this could be dangerous in the best possible way. 1 Quote
kdaddy Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 SCV has used an earworm since the current brass arranger took over. In 2022, Smells Like Teen Spirit In 2024, United in Grief In 2025, Send in the Clowns Will it be Baiana in 2026? 1 Quote
