Rocketman 347
Well out of boredon last night, I decided to watch 1996 for the first time in a while. My first impression was, why did they show the Regiment last? Wouldn't it have made for must see TV if they showed them performing in the 3rd position and THEN winning (tie)? And, do you really believe Stevie and Mikey actually made the "it could go one of three ways" comment BEFORE they actually knew the results. I DON'T! And I don't believe they thought it possible in their wildest dreams. Post production manipulation of the Vids and telecast ruined what could have been great drama. Your thoughts? MikeN 3,191
Hard for me to say - I knew before I saw it how it turned out, so it didn't bother me that much. Mike
hiccups05 0
I think it would be kind of neat if they were put in 3rd on the disk but in the end it makes sense for them to be in the order they placed in finals
D n B 0
Don't broadcasts come out MONTHS after finals?
MikeN 3,191
That year, they did. Off the top of my head (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong): 1974 - 1993 - Live PBS broadcast. (Except for '80 or '81, which was a taped broadcast of the Whitewater show?) 1994 - 1998 - Delayed "highlights" package. 1999 - 2001 - Live PBS broadcast. 2002 - 2003 - Delayed sort-of-highlights package. Rocketman 347
Don't broadcasts come out MONTHS after finals? In some markets, yes! In others it was shorter. Rocketman - Broadcast Producer ampssuck
