Jeff Ream Posted May 26, 2004 Share Posted May 26, 2004 I believe that women bass drumers are inferior to that of the males... until i meet a girl that can best me in the areas of the bass, I will not change opinion and I will continue to spread the word that female bass drummers lack in talent. i so wish you could meetDeb Werth. she played bass 3 in Westshore in 95 and 96 and could play with anyone. She chose bass cause bass rocks. but then again, you probably dont look past the snare line. this woman was too cool....she'd shower w/the guys just cause she believed in bass bonding. In fact, I don't think there has ever been a year where the top player wasn't female. As for bottom bass... I don't know. There has been a guy on bass 4 or lower since the 2000 season at least... I'll have to check. I was a bottom bass drummer a couple times :) Also, my girlfriend just happens to be a bass drummer.
