When submitting a corps, please use the following application:

Name of corps:

Division of corps:

Director (name and or DCP user name):

Contact information (PM and or e-mail):

Tour Schedule: (always submit the above information with a tour schedule, so we know the corps it belongs to)

Select a tour schedule for your corps (please read the guidelines below for the max amount of shows each division can do, and which shows count toward that amount and which shows do NOT count). When selecting a tour schedule, you will need to go to the following events pages, which are pinned in the DCP Fantasy Drum Corps Forum: (Please make sure you attend your divisions correct focus shows--look for those as you are making your schedule)

January Shows Events Calender

February Shows Events Calender

March Shows Events Calender

*Regional prelims and other prelims shows that have finals shows, do not count toward your max. show limit. Try to be realistic when making a tour schedule. You can't go from California to Indiana in one night...

After you have your tour schedule in order, you can submit that to (Matt Smith) DCP User Name (Matthew), and he will approve the schedule if it is within the guidelines, if it is not, he will send it back to you with what needs to be corrected, before he forwards it to Matt Briddel (Galen) for entry.

Captions: (Always submit the important information: Name of Corps, Division, Director, and Contact info so we know who the captions belong to).

Once the tour schedule is complete, you can begin to select your captions. Please read the caption selection guidelines. Each division is allowed a max amount of points to work with for the start of the season. That max increases after every 5 shows (1 point bonus after every 5 shows). For your caption selection, you will select a DCI Division I corps, for each caption:

GE Music: Blue Devils 2006 - 23

GE Visual: Phantom Regiment 2006 - 24

...and so on

DCI Corps Values for each the following Seasons: 2004, 2005, and 2006

You will not be able to have all top corps for your captions. The way the system was designed, was to make all corps have a balance of corps from all tiers for a great part of the season. Once you rack up bonus points, you will find ways to get more corps from the mid to upper tiers into your picks. DCI Corps Values can be found in the pinned thread as well. If we use a specific two seasons (i.e. 2005 and 2006), the DCI corps will have a different value, but you will be able to mix and match to fill your captions.

For example: Blue Devils would be worth 22 points in 2005, because they placed 4th place. Blue Devils would be worth 23 points in 2006, because they placed 3rd place. You would be able to use those two years of Blue Devils if you wanted to, but you would have to note which year, and the value for that year. Corps that did not compete on a given year, will not be considered in the corps value for selection of captions. Being that Troopers and Kiwanis Kavaliers did not field in 2006, they will not be listed on a 2006 Corps Value list, and the same goes for corps like Blue Stars who did not field a Division I corps in 2005.

For now, we are not accepting any caption submitions, until we decide what years of DCI competition scores we will use.

Here is an example of what a caption submition would look like for a Division I corps: (I have used seasons 2003 and 2004 as the caption values and choices)

Effect Visual: Phantom Regiment 2003 - 23pts

Effect Music: Blue Devils 2003 - 25pts

Visual Performance: Blue Knights 2004 - 16pts

Visual Ensemble: Blue Knights 2003 - 13pts

Visual Colorguard: Seattle Cascades 2004 - 11pts

Music Brass: Seattle Cascades 2003 - 11pts

Music Ensemble: Carolina Crown 2004 - 19pts

Music Percussion: Capital Regiment 2004 - 12pts

Total: 130 points

You can be below 130 points if you wish, but we encourage you to maximize all your points--you will need to most of the time. You can not be above 130 for the first caption submition. We will be checking these very close, captions that do not meet the guidelines, will be sent back, and asked to be corrected--before they get approved and entered.

Follow the above for Division II and III caption submitions. Just be aware, that the point allotment is different.

Again, we are not accepting caption submitions right now, but you can submit your tour schedules. We will notify you via website and the forums when we begin excepting caption submitions!

Div 3 - max 75 pts.

GUIDELINE OF CORPS PER DIRECTOR

a) Directors are allowed no more than 5 corps

b) A corps director who has more than one corps within a division may not share more than 2 captions. Each corps should be an individual and seperate from each other, not just different by a caption or two.

Visual Ensemble:

Music Brass:

Music Percussion:

SEASON FORMAT

a) If the season is live, then the value for each caption is based on the final spot that the corps finished at the 2006 DCI and 2006 DCA Championships, respectively. The value, and Finals score, for each corps from 2006 season are listed in the topic DCP-I Fantasy Corps costs and codes

b) If the season is off, you will select between two seasons (like the example above). You can use all your captions from one season of those two, but you have the option of using both seasons (i.e. 2003, and 2004).

REGIONALS

Each corps will choose a tour schudule and will compete against other corps similar to that of a real corps season. There will be a DCP-West, DCP-North, DCP-South and DCP-East for the first half of the tour and then the shows become DCP-International and DCP-Associates after the regional championships.

SEASON TOURS

a) Juniors - A total of 30 shows will be allowed for a D1 corps' tour.

b) The D2/3 corps are allowed up to 25 shows.

c) The number of shows do not include regionals or mandated shows.

CORPS BONUSES-TOUR

a) As each corps performs in a show, the corps will recieved 0.2 pt. (every 5 shows = 1 bonus point to your caption selection/updates)--when you want to make a change, you need to let us know the date you want it to take place in the scoring. It has to happen on or after the date of the bonus point being earned.

b) Corps are allowed 3 caption changes per week until Regionals, then 10 TOTAL changes from after regionals until the start the week before the start of Finals weeks. These changes must take place between M-F during normal business hours. If you do submit a change, you MUST state when it will take effect or it will be rejected and sent back for resubmission.

c) As a corps accumulates points, they can submit thier captions changes, to DCPFantasy@hotmail.com, as long as they stay within the guidelines in SUBMISSION rule. If there are any problems, the director will be ask to resubmit thier corps with the necessary changes. The changes begin the Monday after the start of the season up to the week before Finals.

d) A director can save thier points until they decide to use them. If the points aren't used by the week before Finals weeks, they will lose them all.

CORPS BONUSES-CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK

During the week of DCP-I and A championships, as a corps progresses during the week, they will be allowed 1 point per step up. This point must be added to caption changes that same day BEFORE the next championship level. You may change up to 2 captions with this added point as the director sees fit. E.g. Corps A makes it from Prelims to Quarterfinals. They earn 1 point which must be used on any one caption. Corps A goes from Quarterfinals to Semifinals. Again they earn 1 point which must be used. If the directors do not use the, they lose it. Sorry guys.

SUBMISSION RULE: "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE" RULE

"First Come, First Serve" rule: Up until Finals weeks, there will be corps that will share the same captions. Hopefully during the season these directors will find out about it. During Finals week, if two (or more) corps share the same the caption, the corps that emailed the changes first will be able to keep thier. Those that come afterwards will be emailed about the similarties and be asked to change thier caption selection.

All results are final. The DCP Fantasy Drum Corps Moderator (Steve Burstall, Matt Smith, or Matt Briddel) will have the final say on all scores.

CORPS INVOLVMENT

Please be involved with your corps and it's direction. This makes it fun for all!!!
