sburstall
After being the only Michigan corps to be making DCP-I Finals since it's inception, the Oakland Skylarks are looking to expand into the educational aspect of drum corps. First off we have recharted ourselves under the SE Michigan Music Co-op. We will be working with the local bands in the area but also supply 3 corps for which members can compete with. The first corps will be the Division 1 Oakland Skylarks. This will be the full tour corps. The theme of this year's show is currently entitled "The Rise of Darkness". We are looking at music of Williams, Elfman and Wagner. Finalization of the show is not ready. There will be limited touring corps. There will be the Division 1 Royal Lancers. The Division 2 Edison Lamplighters for those who can only give their weekend up for drum corps. Music is still in the planning stages for these two corps. sburstall
The Oakland Skylarks have decided to change their show to reflect the stepping down of their corps director from the executive director chair of DCP-I. The show will not be "The Rise of Darkness" but instead it will be entitled "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish"....music selection to follow shortly.
