lindap
Seneca Optimists 1976 guard (maybe). I remember teaching guard Seneca Princemen 1972-1975 over the winter months. When spring came, we’d sing our new repertoire. I still remember AAG’s half time show at CFL Western Finals 1977. It was so cold valves, laden with alcohol, froze and drum heads split; and the entire corps sang the rest of the show :)
lindap
From Salute to 50 publication; LaSalle Cadets (in the middle) My fave corps early 70’s and they had a great winter guard. I’ll be away for a while. Get into that garage or basement and find stuff! You’ll be glad you did as I :D
DPEmerald
From Salute to 50 publication; Etobicoke Crusaders. Man this looks a lot like Phantom Regiment. Edited October 15, 2012 by DPEmerald
HornsUp
Man this looks a lot like Phantom Regiment. For the same reason that the St. Mary's Cardinals looked like the Garfield Cadets. For the same reason that the Stardusters looked like the Royal Airs. For the same reason the Westshoremen looked like the Blue Devils. And Avant Garde (at least their final seasons) looked like Seneca Optimists.
Northern Thunder
Man this looks a lot like Phantom Regiment. I got to thinking......Phantom used those uniforms through the 1974 season, but the Etobicoke Crusaders final year was also 1974 (prior to the merger with De La Salle). Just when would Etobicoke have worn Phantom's old uniforms?
Jocko the Wonder Llama
And Avant Garde (at least their final seasons) looked like Seneca Optimists. Hmmmm. I wonder why?

Northern Thunder
Hmmmm. I wonder why? Yes, I had about 10 of those bright yellow Optimists/Avant Garde jackets at my house in 1983, when AG was thinking about selling them. The sizes didn't work out for the group I was outfitting, so I never bought them. AG went on to wear them a few more years.
