Now that's the Marion Cadets I remember.

Is that Mark "Mac" Maclemore ( later of BD), the tall guy with the Mello?

This is Gisele Montreal. It must have been a great show for her since she started out in Les Chatelaines

and here she is performing for the home town crowd... She's an amazing person... She does ROCK!

Oh, dear God....SOMEOME expain this!!!

I haven't seen the show in a long time, but I don't remember Regiment having any guys in their guard in 82. Then again, I think I see a staff pass at his waist.....a staffer helping to set the mood perhaps??

A BRAVE man, if so....now someone get me the brain-scrubber!

There were no guys in the guard in 1982. The guy in the toga was staff member Pat Garey. Pat and another staff member, Phil Tartalone would don the togas and pass out librettos in the stands, among other things.

1982 was the last "traditional" year with elements of what was to come blended in. To watch 1983 and 1984 Phantom Regiment, you could see perfection in presentation and clean interval and feet. It wasnt until 85 that they "caved in" and you can see placement hurt as their tradition approach went out the window.

You're right. 1982 was the last year that symmetrical drills were the norm.

Although Garfield won top M&M in 1983, we actually outscored them in execution. They nailed us on visual analysis, but we were second in M&M to them.

Thank you for your appreciation of our marching performances.

Pretty good feet here. They seem to be clean. I always loved the white bucks with the black soles. Very cool look. This was the year they went to Europe correct? From what I understand the corps was much bigger that year, but the trip to Europe nearly killed them.
