22 DCA corps perform on the same night

Recommended Posts

As much as I'd like to see a tight race between these corps, it's not going to happen.  Once they see each other in real time, these spreads will expand.  Hawthorne will take off, with Cru being the only corps on this list with a chance to stay on their tail... otherwise, not going to be that close.

... hopefully I'm wrong and it will be very competitive all the way to the end, but I don't think it will be.

However, I do think that Bucs, Brigs, Empire, Minnesota, and the Renegades will have one heck of a battle for the top.  And then there's Bush.  Anyone who remembers 1986 knows to never count them out.. NEVER.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but Cru realizes that it will not be easy to regain top ten ststus and we are working extremely hard to enhance that likelihood. We know that others such as CorpVets, Hurcs, Grenadiers and Sky will have something to say about that! And that's not even considering the unknown factors from the West. Good luck to all and may the best corps win.

This is 3 or 4 different DCA shows in different locations with different judges. This is not an accurate way of determining placement. (Looks like Chops Inc. score was left out on this list)

Actually....no. 87 was the year the Great Flood part Deuz came to Allentown...LOTS o' fun on THAt field!

So bad finals was cancelled....so the Prelims scores stood as finals.

Actually....no.  87 was the year the Great Flood part Deuz came to Allentown...LOTS o' fun on THAt field!

So bad finals was cancelled....so the Prelims scores stood as finals.

Sister and I used to drive to Prelims and make it home in time for dinner. Then 1987 was the year I called her a few days later and asked "So how did you enjoy Finals. ^0^ ".

Always get that year confused with Hershey the following (I think) year. Drove in for Prelims and stood in the parking lot for an hour or so until Mickey announced everything was pushed back a day. Next day I had to help a family member move and didn't see anything. <**>

As Bill Stork said ...thanks for referring to Cru as a corps with a shot of making something happen that has NEVER happened in DCA, but we are honest with our corps about that. I know all too well that there are several corps with the same idea of getting back to the Sunday show on Labor Day weekend. I hope so much to achieve it, but it isnt a given. I do believe that we have a long way to go to mature this corps into a drum corps worthy of DCA finals, but I also believe that it can be done.

So we will continue to work very hard and hope not to get caught from behind and push toward our goal.

Thanks!!!

Donny
