Fran Haring Memories

Recommended Posts

All;

I am working on a Fran Haring article to be published before the 2005 DCA World Championship. I already have many pages in place, but I decided that I would like to get some input from those of you who has unique "Fran Haring" memories. You can also offer some interview questions that may be of interest to the drum corps community. B)

So provide me your input, please let me know if you do not wish to be identified.

I need this information within the next week so I can complete the article for publication.

(BTW, I wrote the article on Key Poulan, SVC Brass Arranger in the latest DCW).

Please either post to this forum or send me an e-mail directly (william.thorpe@mci.com).

Much appreciated! :worthy:

HMMM, fit for print?....THIS is going to require some thought...

Of course Fran, being a very good friend, and having "literally" lived with him in the Sunrisers.....

Do we tell some of the great stories from his days in broadcast school (Pat & Jan Stig's house)??

Or perhaps Belmar Playland, on the way down to Wildwood,NJ??

Or being in Wildwood,NJ.....NO the photos do not show why, or how much, Donna and I care about Fran.

SO, how does one put into just a few words, about a GREAT friend, that has given ME alot?? That has helped me and my family??

AHH,Yes........THIS is going to require some thought.....

I'm pretty sure that's Fran's voice I hear over the PA at the Atlanta airport. "In the interest of air safety and your personal safety, please ensure that your personal carry-on items remain with you at all times..." Yes?

Yikes.

PLEASE, whatever you do..... leave out any memories involving:

1. Public intoxication

2. Wearing of lampshades

3. Crude behavior

4 Bizarre, unexplained behavior

5. Tasteless humor

Thank you. That should cut the memories down to just one or two. B)
