BariEuph
okay....I play baritone and am facing the truth that i will at some point in the near future need to buy a euphonium. I don't much cash, and my mom has the impression that i would sell my current baritone to pay for a euph. so, i was wondering...how much would people pay for a 1940-1945 satin silver finish with bright silver interior, bell front, valve front concert Cleveland King baritone? It's in excellent condition, with just one small area of silver worn off on the back and some small dents in the bottom bow. It would come with a case, if I could bring myself to sell it. Not the original case, as that was moldy when i purchased the horn, but a NEW case. any price estimates? thanks.
Dave
Not sure about a price estimate, but someone who will probably give you a good deal on it is the Baltimore Brass Company, run by David Fedderly, the principal tubist for the Baltimore Symphony. That's where I bought my horn, and as part of the deal I traded in an old Reynolds tuba I had, which he gave me a good deal for.
