drepsed
Thought I would send out this bit of personal reflection and thank you! Ten years ago this weekend, Reading was at its lowest point in its history, many would say, missing finals again. Ten years ago this weekend, Jim Gruber took over the helm of that majestic ship known as the Buccaneers. Ten years ago this weekend, the Bucs began their turnaround from not making finals to a consistent "top performer" and, IMH - but biased - O, a true class act on and off the field. No one in Blue that I am aware believes this to be a coincidence! If I may be so bold - and those that know me will wonder why I'm even ASKING - on behalf of ALL Buccaneers - past, present, and future - I would like to thank Jimmy for his years of leadership at the helm of the Bucs and for guiding the corps to its place of honor today. Congratulations Jimmy, and thank you! The product is worthy of the tireless effort you have contributed. "We're ready now to take anyone!" Good luck Jim and ALL the Bucs this weekend. I will be screaming from the top of the stadium! Dave
Jeff Ream
agreed. Jimmy Gruber is a class act and has given his life to the corps. He has done a great job on a small budget, and last I knew, actually had the corps close to being debt free
Mick Krackin'
This is a well deserved post for one of the hardest working directors I have ever worked with in drum corps. Jimmy and his team of dedciated people get the Buccaneers what they need to be successful, year after year. Thanks for everything Jimmy! (Of course, since he told everyone in the corps to stay off the internet this week, I guess he won't read any of these posts. ) B)
