Jeff Zehner
In Suburban D.C. I was poised to begin pumping at $3.09/Gal - when the attendant rushed out to inform us all that he received a call to raise it 40 more cents. $3.49. Yippie. JohnZ
At last report we believe that the shortages are isolated to the south so far due to shutdown transmission pipelines AND panic buying brought on by price increases. the south got hit with a double whammy. MusicCityLegend
I think the reason we're seeing shortages in places like Memphis and Jackson is because of all the refugees heading north from the Gulf Coast before and after Katrina. sop16
Gas prices in NJ (about an hour from Scranton) went up to $2.99 around where I live but there were no lines when I passed the gas station. I am sooooooo glad I drive a hybrid.
