boxingfred Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 (edited) 2- drum corps vets: Boxingfred (Fred) Hard core drum corps person tends to lean to Cavies,Cadets,SCV Sexyguardcap(Assia) Hard core Blue Devil person. 2- professional boxers: Never seen a drum corps show. Just wanted to know what I rant about every summer. Had to coax them to the party with the promise of beer and pizza! 2- 13 year old boys: My nephews I've taken them to Hershey when they were 11 and 12. Both play drums in band. 1- Dinosaurs: (Assia's uncle) Has seen every DCI Championship( LIVE!) from 72-93. He stopped watching drum corps in 1993 after seeing Starr of Indiana. He thought drum corps was headed in the wrong direction. Hasn't seen a show, DVD or PBS telecast since. ( We had to drag him to watch this. He gave decades worth of great drum corps stuff to Assia. My Mom!- Has never seen a drum corps show live but, we watch the PBS telecast together every year. She also gets me the DCI DVD's for christmas every year. She worked an extra job selling Mary K to keep me in drum corps and boxing. I'll give you their veiws of the DCI telecast: Assia and I post on DCP regularly so we'll post our views last. This is done with Assia's AKA sexyguardcaps full knowlage otherwise she would kick my azz. First overall views of the show: boxer 1- Man those band folks work their butz off. -You got to do that all summer? -Whoa! Look at hunnies you get to play with! -They sound good but, do they play any Hip Hop? boxer 2- I can see why your so hard on us Fred. -Do parents go on tour with the corps? -You got to pay to do that? They should pay the marchers! -Where does all the ticket money go? nephews- ( drumming on the coffe table) -I want to play with The Cadets! -I want to play with Madison! -We saw the Blue Devils at the show we went to. -Uncle Fred. Are we good enough to play with a corps?( more drumming) Dinosaur Uncle- Why did I let you drag me out of the house? ( said before the show starts) - So DCI is on ESPN now. -This better be good. -I marched my first show in 1966! or was it 65? You folks wern't even born then.
