'Tis The Season

Recommended Posts

Just thought I would give this little plug for Tuba Christmas. This is a GREAT event and the music is so warm and beautiful. I know this also takes place in several other parts of the country but this is the one my husband and our son does so I thought I would start the topic with this one.

If I get anymore info I will pass it on.

Huh, that was easy. For more information on Merry Tuba Christmas in your area go to www.tubachristmas.com.

Even if you don't play low brass you should go see this.

I had the chance to play Tuba Christmas in Akron, OH, back in 1998. We set a record that year for the Akron performance, over 500 players, including a serpent and a helicon!

I just moved to Medina a month ago and found they also have their own Tuba Christmas concert. Unfortunately, I had to work that weekend. :(

How many of you play multiple Tuba Christmas concerts, if the opportunity arises? I find the idea of TC mercenaries amusing. :P

Shelly, on an off-topic tangent, you need to post some wedding pics online. I've never seen Tommy D. in a tux, might be the only chance I get.

I went to the one in NYC last year and had a blast. I'm a soprano and mello player, and had no problems playing a baritone. I got a little tired at the end of the day, but that's to be expected.

I wish I could go this year. :(

Actually, Tom DOES look pretty svelt in a tux. Those tuxes are nice, too.

The bride definitely steals the show, though. :D
