Even if you don't play low brass you should go see this.

I had the chance to play Tuba Christmas in Akron, OH, back in 1998. We set a record that year for the Akron performance, over 500 players, including a serpent and a helicon! I just moved to Medina a month ago and found they also have their own Tuba Christmas concert. Unfortunately, I had to work that weekend. :( How many of you play multiple Tuba Christmas concerts, if the opportunity arises? I find the idea of TC mercenaries amusing. :P Shelly, on an off-topic tangent, you need to post some wedding pics online. I've never seen Tommy D. in a tux, might be the only chance I get. LegalEagle50
there is also a thread on the NYC one in the Bored forum. :)
mikemey
I went to the one in NYC last year and had a blast. I'm a soprano and mello player, and had no problems playing a baritone. I got a little tired at the end of the day, but that's to be expected. I wish I could go this year. :(
