Wish I could have made it out. Don't hate me - my rugby team beat the Pacific All-Stars for the National All Star Championship today. dday Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 Good camp from a horn perspective. Good numbers for December. A couple of new baritones, a mello, a sop and contra. Got the Ballad (Stairway to Heaven) and a draft of the opener (Adventures in Time). Played the ballad with the pit on sunday. VERY NICE ! Rattled some windows with that one. Horns sounded nasty on Saturday, but by Sunday afternoon, moments of incredable power and beauty. Jim is working the magic right from the start. Hornline is going to ROCK this year. Be Afraid, be very afraid. Guard numbers where small, but thats normal for this time of year what with WGI kicking in. Per day drum numbers were down (some people showed up one day but not the next.) But combined numbers were encouraging concidering the early season. All in all, Very Encouraging IMO. Anybody have a review of the evil open house? Details?!
