bluublood
To the tune of "1812 Overture"..."I march in Phantom cuz I like 6th place"...the placing changed according to the previous championship results. Haha, I've heard similar lyrics... "I march at Phantom cause I can't play jazz."
A27Lancer
A couple that I can make public, to the tune of "It Was a Very Good Year" - - - "When I was twenty three... I was a Mu-cha-cho Rookie My father taught me the ropes, I just couldn't cope"... Sung after the 1975 season. Also (sung to the tune of "Danny Boy". I actually had to stop the bus from singing this on the way to Foxboro in 94. We had a little kid aboard. " OH WHAT THE F###, OH WHAT THE F### OH WHAT THE ###. ETC. ETC. t-mac
When I was in college, we would sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" one beat off (just sing the first two words on the same pitch and then continue) We also had one called "The Woodpecker Song". Anyone ever heard of that one? "He's a bad ol' bird, It's the woodpecker song"

A27Lancer
dont remember much singing except for a Crossmen tribute sung to the final strains of Gaite Parisienne that must've developed in 1982 We had a Joel LaMarre tribute song that we sang to the middle melody of Gaite Parisienne. It went, "Joel LaMarre, Joel LaMarre, Joel LaMarre". Anyone who marched 77 or 78 could sing it for you. Joel was a baritone player who is a true Lancer legend. kac
Too bad Hurcs don't have "I love a drum corps" on youtube. That's tops on my list for bus tunes. Not to start an argument here, but when I marched, Hurcs had much better bus songs than Cabs did. Edited November 30, 2007 by kac
