Wildabeast
I'm trying to recall if I ever had any encounters of posting with Jason in the days of a "healthful" RAMD, but I do recall reading the post from Ginger about Jason's final moments on Earth. Definitely a flood-jerker.
oldsoprano
I visited Jason in the hospital a few times, but I sure wish I had spent more time with him in the last year or so. What a fine young man. I just discovered that one of the mountains that loom over the house we're renting in northern Pasadena and looks out over the Rose Bowl is named Mount Lowe. How fitting. MelloSteph
Wow.... this takes me back. I remember hearing about this after I got home from ageing out in 2001.... before that, what a devestation it was for him when he found out he couldn't march. We used to talk A LOT online in the days of AOL... dreaming about marching Division 1 - talking about the most random stuff. Unfortunately I never got to meet him - but I'm glad our paths crossed in some way. Glad he hasn't been forgotten - that guy personified perseverance... IllianaLancerContra
. Nothing else to say - you all put it so far more eloquently than I ever could. :(
Jami
After years of talking to him online, I'm so glad I finally got to meet him in 2000 at DCI finals in MD while he was living his dream of marching in division I. He was one of the most beautiful people I've ever known.
Jeff Ream
I miss talking to you you redneck hillbilly. God only knows what kind of chaos you and Sean are causing up there. nhsalan
He smiles at me from a picture on my bookcase every day.....from the pictures I took of him at the last show he marched with CorpsVets, 2 weeks before he died. His "singing" to me over AIM while everyone else was gone on tour that last summer is never far from my thoughts.......especially when it's so easy to get caught up in how hot it is, how tired we are, etc. He would have given anything to march one more summer.... Just make sure you do what he did.....make it all count. He spends his whole life being too young to live the life thats in his dreams and then he lies awake and he wonders why can't that be me? cause in his life he's filled with all these good intentions he's left a lot of things he'd rather not mention right now just before he says good night he looks up with a little smile at me and he says If i could be like that i would give anything just to live one day in those shoes if i could be like that what would i do what would i do, yeah Now in dreams we run I miss you J......always, ~gin Edited August 9, 2007 by nhsalan
