So basically, the director of Capital Regiment, who is not a DCI employee, is replaced by a third party mid tour? How does this structure work? Does DCI have ultimate control over who the director is? {I can hear it now- lets write DCI and get rid of Hopkins}

Meanwhile, in another thread and on the Magic message boards, Magic is eating fudge pops, their director is withdrawing funds from his personal account to keep them on tour, staff is quitting, they have no volunteers, but by the way were buying new horns. Also it appears the kids were told they weren't touring past East at one point and parents were nervous their kids were getting stranded in Allentown.

Is DCI sending someone in here to do something? Or is this just because Capital Regiment made national news when kids starting going down in the heat mid summer?

None of this is "rumors" folks, read DCP and the individual message boards of Capital Regiment and Magic and connect the dots.

Crossmen???

Don't know about changes but they need a show coordinator who understands what a drum corps show should be. This years adventure into marching band show concept didn't get the job done. They also need to add a marching tech who knows how to clean a drill. Marching has been Crossmen's achilles heel since the mid 90's. Bobby Yarnell would be a good choice. An alumni who has cleaned a lot of Crossmen drills in past years.

I think you could add a new brass staff into the mix as well. They had some real problems this year on that end
