BRIDGEMEN - 1977 (or was it 78?) the year of the insanely good show that got disqualified.

It was 1977. I'm glad DCI put that show on the Legacy DVD as a bonus. That sop soloist was sick.

I hope North Star.... pure entertainment.... one of DCI's best single soprano soloists ever and featured in their song " Ole "..... they are going to get one of my votes this year. ( and I hope others will consider them for a vote as well )

I totally agree. Gerry Noonan was the ultimate back then. He was my instructor

during the 78-79 season, and all i wanted to do was to be able to play like him.

Masquerade...killer solos. listen to that last note of the ole solo- he just lets loose

and plays with so much power. Awesome. Just awesome. :worthy::worthy:

I'm with you X DM.

I hope so too Randy.

Since Maynard Ferguson's passing, I'd like to see 27th Lancers up there doing the awesome "Rocky" show from 1977. :)

We must gather our thoughts when we're are little bit closer to voting.....

I would love 76, 77, 81.....77 being my first choice I guess.

I definitely want some early Phantom and North Star would be a great addition however was Sir Duke and the Beach Boys played the same year? If so, that's not the show I want.

I'd love to see a Crossmen show, maybe 80 or 81, and mid 80s Spirit, I've heard about their fabulous guard and would love to see them.

BD will be a difficult decision.....I'd say whatever year their alumni mentions, if they do mention one, that would be the one I'd go with, same with Bridgemen. Don't know which Cadet or Cavie show, or which SCV show...oh boy, I am going to be very confused when it's time to vote!! I'd love to see Guardsmen, BAC and Star and so many more.

I better do some homework!!

Wasn't 77 the first year of the 2-valve bugles?
