jdheere
A new show - Pimp My Drum! Great job. Good choice on the dye and not using a pigment stain.
kmansdrummin
Great job!!! Awesome color! Hey, how did you get the new lugs? Were they expensive, (if you don't mind me asking)? Very, Very impressive!! ^0^ ^0^ ^0^ ^0^
Snapettes Mom
Kevin, I think I know what you are thinking. That blue colored drum would look pretty cool on the 'Wicked' drumline. Mom
Jazzycat1
What a fantastic job! I recently purchased an older Ludwig with white cortex wrap - I'd like to do very much the same as you did. Would you care to share the steps necessary to complete the project? Thanks! After viewing this beautiful project I got the nads to try it myself. I'll post a new thread with photos. phoenix_aurora
-3 Coats of Indigo Blue Aniline dye was then applied to the shell using a large sponge brush. Each coat was given 1 hour to dry.... All replacement parts were purchased from Steve Weiss wow. first off, when I looked at this I thought you had bought a new shell cover to apply, it looks so shiney and such a vibrant color, I didn't belive it to be a dye! wow. Secondly, Steve Weiss is the best place for percusison goodies. much love there! I'd like to do something similar to my crappy drumset some day. Excelent job, and thanks for the tutorial!
