cavies79
Here are my choices. 1978, 79..............Santa Clara Vanguard doing the Bottle Dance. 1980...............Spirit of Atlanta on the company front of "Let it Be Me" 1988.................Madison's ending of "Malaguena" 1991.................Star of Indiana doing the rotating cross 1992...................Cavalier's push in "Peterloo" There are probably so many others that I left out. Over the past 30+ years, there have been some great moments. I hope to see many more in the future. :) Edited January 24, 2007 by cavies79
Slow Adam
Hey man, what's up?! That's a derivation of the Bernoulli equation (that I pulled out of an old physics textbook.) Just got bored one night while studying... If you click it, it takes you to an applicable site. :) I was going to mention some time ago that the formula is for fluid flow in a closed vessel, whereas it links to Phantom's "On Air" announcement. Bernoulli had some other stuff to say about non-contained gas flows. Minor technicalites though. :)

Minor technicalites though. :) Ha! I'll definitely take your word for it! I'd just remembered, from my physics class of two years prior, that his equation could be applied to air flow and lift. It was pretty late (and I was supposed to be studying for an endocrinology test)--I must have grabbed the wrong equation...oops. (I'll look back through and see if I can find one that works!) jaboo1
So many to choose from.............Tough Choices 1. Madson Scouts 1988 Kansas City: Just a magical performance-anyone who was there understands. Malaguena was just unreal-what a sound. 2. Phantom Regiment 1992 Madison: Maybe the best 2nd Place performance EVER. 1992 was an incredible year for DCI in Madison. 3. 27th Lancers 80's Allentown: Danny Boy. Any year. Doesn't matter. Enough said. 4. Boston Crusaders 80's Allentown: Conquest. See Above. 5. Cadets 1990 Buffalo: Z Pull at the end of the show-end zone to end zone. Being at field level, hearing the wall of sound, turning around and seeing the crowd go nuts.

UTAmello
Since I'm a mello player my responses do have a touch of mellophone bias. In order by year, not goose bump effect: 1989 SCV: Closer and the "disappearance" at the end 2000 FINALS RETREAT: It was the first one I had heard. I was a freshman in highschool and the sound of that many brass playing such an amazing arrangement gave me instant goosebumps. 2003 PR: Opening statement with mello runs. 2004 Cavaliers: Mellophone resolution in ballad "From Paris to Bond" 2005 Cavaliers: Mellophones playing that eerie yet glorious version of amazing grace while on the ladders. Not to mention the loooong sustained B to C resolution.
