MadScout80
Best Metheny show was the day after Finals 2005, at the Newport Jazz Festival! Pat Metheny at Newport Jazz fest In the photo I took is Gary Burton, Chick Corea, Roy Haynes, Christian McBride and Metheny. They were all on stage together jammin for Hayne's 80th birthday. Haynes has drummed for every famous jazzman alive - including Louis Armstrong! Edited December 23, 2006 by MadScout80
WRiddell83
Rhythm X 2004 WGI PIW"Audio/Visual" That show is really good... but the intonation of the guitar on the finals video ruins it for me. In the performer's defense, I saw that show several times throughout the year and his playing was flawless. Blame it on San Diego. The closer from that show (Mike Stern's "Way Out East") would make a sweet drum corps chart. It's very much like Heat of the Day.
XmenBlondie
How about '02 Crossmen (Heat of the Day for the opener) or Jersey Surf in '01? Those were pretty good shows too. Good call :)
XmenBlondie
Did Doug sing that part for you? ^0^ It's a running joke among those of us that marched with Doug because every year he marched he can be seen singing his favorite part of the show on the tour video. bwahahahahahaha
EKBari
MBI 05 ;) I just listened to that show again and thought the same thing. The recording does it no justice, they were hot at finals.

triplefunk
Now, I don't know if he did this show, but the first Crossmen I've ever seen was 2004. I really liked that show a lot, and the trumpet soloist, whew! he could play, such energy. Loved that show.
Tone Quality Matters
Being a Crown Alumn that marched the summer of 91', I never tired of being on tour with them. This is what I look to as the Crossmen that I know the best. This was an awesome show to watch and listen to. :)

mingusmonk
Haynes has drummed for every famous jazzman alive - including Louis Armstrong! Except Louis' not alive. :P Haynes has guested with the Allman Brothers the past couple of years as well. Anyhow. 91 crossmen. Hated getting beat by them, but loved the show.
