Vote Phantom 79 & North Star 79 for 2007 Classic Countdown

I got the 79 legacy DVD for myself for Christmas. :)

A lot of great shows that year.

I'd vote Guardsman for the classis count down. What a hornline and guard.

Although North Stars rifle line was also great.

Blue Stars also had a great show! (Minus the umbrellas.) :P

I'd rather see Phantom 82, Spartacus, in the countdown. But will love what ever Phantom show gets picked.

"Fave Runner Up":

1976 Madison Scouts. In a walk. What corps would dump their ENTIRE SHOW in midseason, go back into "Camp", reappear for "Second Tour" with an all new field program and bulldoze their way into a second place finish at the National Championship, defeating all but one of the best junior drum corps on the planet.

If they had had another days practice they would have won. As it was, I thought they had anyway.

1980 27th Lancers, w. 79 Phanton running a very close second (heh).

I can still remember that totally sick contra-soprano duo in the middle of the Lancer's show.

Though, to be fair, it was the '79 Phantom show that turned me into a drum corps fan.

None of the above. 2003 Cavaliers.

I agree! 2003 Cavaliers and 1993 Star of Indiana

Said it before, blah blah blah...

Phantom 78...best show of all time. The Stravinsky medley is awe-inspiring, even today.

Think I'll listen to it now.
