We were thinking of going to Camelot on our upcoming sight-seeing day, but apparently it's a rather silly place. :P We'll probably hit up London instead. Guard will put in the new work tomorrow along with the last minute of drill with the new rewrites. Thats about 3 minutes difference in show. Yeah we were looking at that....strange. Being balanced is not a bad thing. The Star camp can't complain right now. All 3 corps are doing well based on their last scores: Cross is undefeated with a 74.82 in Warrington. SOJ has come 2nd to only Cross. Last score was that 76.93 (and no captions) in Virginia Beach. SOH has top DivII score with 73.70 in Long Beach. We know it's early and the only way to stay competitive is to keep improving the shows. It just means that the corps probably won some subcaptions (which we dont actually post here), and were very close to winning in other captions...by tenths of points. Look at the BOA Grand National Champion in 2001, Lawrence Central won the grand finals, and did not take a single caption (but won several subcaptions). Strange, but certainly common. Just means they scored high enough to keep their ordinal, and the second place group probably scored 3rd, 4th, and lower in most captions. While the first place group scored 2nd and 3rd in most captions with close to first place scores. Emerald Regime actually has had this happen plenty of times! We let them all the time, but they are a bunch of wiseaśś kids from Orange County who won a medal in their first year of competition. Goes in one ear and out the other.
