MikeN
http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArt...ws_iv_ctrl=1003 ALLENTOWN, PA - Following a meeting of the Board of Directors of Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!), Chairman Andrew Silverstein announced a change in the leadership of Youth Education in the Arts.Sean King, the current Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Relations for YEA!, will serve the organization as the Executive Director beginning March 12, according to Mr. Silverstein. In this role, King will manage the business of Youth Education in the Arts, with an emphasis on marketing, merchandising, development, human resources, and fiscal management. George Hopkins will continue in the role of Chief Executive Officer for the next nine to twelve months ensuring a smooth transition and supporting the new Executive Director in his role, while at the same time assuming the responsibilities of the Director of Education and Programs. This change, away from administration, will allow Hopkins to commit his time to the world of education, including the Cadets, the US Scholastic Band Association [uSSBA], and various clinics and workshops such as the ever growing "Music is Cool" events. FanOfAll
http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArt...ws_iv_ctrl=1003 LONG Over due...... YEA! for the change, maybe now the turn over in staff will be reduced, buts that only if the former ED understands his role. ^0^ Does that mean that Sean can hire a new director of the Cadets? So many possibilities if he truly is the "ED" :sshh: Does Sean get the company car and does Hops office moves to the 3rd floor? Is there a salary and expence acount adjustment(ie Starbucks and Seminars paid for but never attended, last minute flights ect...) Can't wait for the "KB", aka Kings Blog, I hope he shares his drama too :P Edited March 12, 2007 by FanOfAll
