jjeffeory
Hey, thanks for the compliment on 87 Star. We don't hear enough of that!!!What were your friends name who marched in 87? Tony Taylor John Ford & Nicole Feliciano to name two.... I thought Becky Woods was soooo cool! I was going to march in 1989. Learned the opener drill and was set to march in the parade, but family issues prevented that. There are some AWSOME people who marched Star! blitzcon
Big base drums are okay with me. It's the tiny ones the size of snare turned on it's size that bothers me.Mom What's fun is along with our gigantic monstrous bass drum on a cart, we do also have a 14" battery bass...we have 8 bass drums in our battery. Talk about lots of bass...check it out: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~jboers/pudl/ima...SU/images/5.jpg Edited May 25, 2007 by blitzcon
kstein
Heh....find teh BD/SCV alum video at Pavillion this month and you'll see the same thing....at least my big gut won't stand out too much come June and August! Amazing how easy it was to be fit and fine while marching in your teens and early twenties! While I have no desire to go back and do that again (at least not most days!), I miss that body! ...and to the gentleman who said Becky Woods was cool - she was, and still is. Cheers to all who are marching this weekend...Indy parade or elsewhere, Karen

Learned the opener drill and was set to march in the parade, but family issues prevented that. There are some AWSOME people who marched Star! It truly is a small world. John sat right behind me on the bus and I also remember Nichole. And yes, Becky is a cool and wonderful person. Tony
