CorpsVets Scholarship Winners

| |

On Sunday, March 26, the CorpsVets Board of Directors selected its scholarship recipients. Out of remembrance of friends lost and appreciation for our community, CorpsVets offers several different scholarships each year to help performers in different venues.

This year, the board chose to award two Jason Lowe Scholarships. The Jason Lowe Scholarship honors the memory of Jason Lowe, a young CV member and drum corps enthusiast who passed from cancer in the summer of 2002.

Jason’s brave spirit and enthusiasm for this activity touched many. Each recipient was selected to receive a scholarship of $250 to offset the expense of member tuition/dues based on an essay submitted to the board.

This year’s winners were Michael Dooley of The Glassmen and Brian Lange of Memphis Sound. Congratulations!

CorpsVets also awards member scholarships to needy CV members to alleviate the cost of member tuition. Awards were made based on need and there is no set amount of awards or limit to the number of awards. We awarded 11 member scholarships this year to members of our organization.

We wish all the applicants success this season!
