Glassmen Gear Up For Sold-Out Symphony Concerts

| |

The GLASSMEN Drum & Bugle Corps is meeting a little early for camp this weekend. Not only are they preparing to move ahead in drill and music for the 2006 summer production of "Mastery and Madness" – but they have a few very special performances as well.

The corps has had a long association with the Toledo Symphony, and this weekend they will once again collaborate on a finale piece that will rock the roof off the symphony hall. Following the 2004 sold-out concerts, the crowds are returning to pack the house again for concerts Friday and Saturday, March 24-25.

GLASSMEN will perform in the final piece of the concert – the "1812 Overture" – and will surely bring the crowd to their feet with the special effects they have in store. A few tickets are still available for the weekend, and there is an open dress rehearsal Thursday at 7:30pm for $3, for those who may be interested in attending but unable to get tickets.
