Santa Clara Vanguard March Camp Report, Video

| |

The Vanguard finished another sucessful camp during the first weekend of March. Although the weather in the Bay Area was cloudy, windy and cold all weekend, the rain held off until Sunday afternoon allowing the corps to spend more time on learning drill. In addition to the time spend on the field, brass and percussion parts were distributed for "Newton’s Cradle" – the second number in the 2006 production, "Moto Perpetuo."

The camp concluded with the annual Santa Clara Vanguard Birthday Dinner. Friends, family, alumni and boosters mixed and mingled while enjoying spaghetti made with Gail Royer’s special sauce. To cap the evening off, the Vanguard and Vanguard Cadets brass and percussion sections performed parts from their 2006 programs and a video was shown of the 2006 Santa Clara Vanguard Winterguard.
