The Central High School Kiltie Drum and Bugle Corps will celebrate its 80th anniversary with a performance Wednesday at Park Central Square, site of the corps’ first performance. The Kilties were the first all-female drum and bugle corps in the United States.

Following the performance, a memorial will be placed at the gravesite of R. Ritchie Robertson, founder of the Kilties and the Boy Scout Band, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3506 N. National Ave.

Kilties alumni, family and friends are invited to a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Central High School Commons. A Kilties performance is scheduled for 5 p.m. that day in the "Pit" at Central.
