Frontier Announces 2006 Drum Majors

Frontier Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce its two drum majors for the 2006 season: Shaney Gulick and Megan Czerwieski. Shaney returns to the drum major podium from the 2005 season while Mega joins Frontier this season, easily filling her drum major roll. Frontier is thrilled to have both Shaney and Megan, two very talented and enthusiastic leaders.

Shaney was drum major for two years at Castle High School in Newburgh, IN (1995-1996) and won 9 out of 11 drum major caption awards all over the state during that time, including best drum major at 1995 Fiesta Bowl National Championships. In addition to attending Indiana State University Drum Major School, Shaney instructed at a number of high schools in Indiana. Shaney helped lead Frontier in its heroically successful innaugural season.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University. While at Baylor, Megan was a member of the Golden Wave Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra, and held the position of 2nd horn in the Waco Symphony for the 2004-2005 season. Megan currently teaches band at Barnett Junior High and Starrett and West Elementaries in Arlington ISD. She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association.
