Pacific Crest Partners With Drillmasters

Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization announces a new partnership agreement with Drillmasters Marching Shoes. Under this three-year agreement, Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps will use Drillmasters in all uniformed performances. This new relationship recognizes Pacific Crest’s status as one of the country’s premier drum and bugle corps. It also helps illustrate the position Pacific Crest holds in Southern California, arguably the largest scholastic marching band region in the world.

“We are excited that Drillmasters has shown an interest in Pacific Crest,” said Executive Director Stuart Pompel. Indeed, Drillmasters joins an impressive group of companies whose products are endorsed by the Pacific Crest Organization, including Dynasty USA, Vic Firth, Remo and Sabian. “Drillmasters patented Rolled-Heel Design allows our members to effectively execute the Pacific Crest marching style.”

Jon Farbman, President and CEO of Drillmasters stated, “I have personally supported the drum corps activity for over 20 years, and to this day, I believe it provides a totally unique and incredibly precious, invaluable experience for student performers. That my company and its product can both participate in this life-changing experience and be of some service to it is, indeed, very gratifying.”

About Drillmasters

In 1984, Drillmasters introduced the world’s first marching shoe, the DRILLSTAR. What made it completely different and totally unique was its Rolled-Heel technology. By effectively rounding/radiusing the heel, this innovation made it virtually impossible not to do a perfect corps-style "roll-step." The ROLLED-HEEL (TM) was so revolutionary and so effective in improving marching it was awarded several US patents. Band directors are encouraged to visit the Drillmasters Web site to learn more at www.drillmaster.com.
