The group will perform in Utah creating a theatrical show combining the instrumental virtuosity of outdoor drum corps pageantry with the repertoire, props, costuming, staging and special effects of musical theatre.

The group is interested in those who have experience with high school, college, university, or professional jazz ensemble groups, stage band, musical clubs, private groups, drum & bugle corps, marching band, symphony orchestra, or other significant experience. The group is made up of professional players, private freelancers, university instructors with PhD’s, symphony performers, amateurs, and now high school age kids. This is a diversified group of people of all ages and from all walks of life. Having your instrument or the ability to access one is important. There is no cost to play with the group. If a member is in high school, they must be currently enrolled in their school program before being accepted into Wasatch Sound Machine.

The group also needs arrangers, experienced instructors and directors, and other volunteers. In addition to musicians, the group is looking for a Director, Assistant Director, and Program Coordinator. Those experienced or talented with musical arranging and show designing are of interest. The group needs help with Visual, Scenic and Costume Design Team, Lighting Design, Sound Design, Staging Director / Choreography, or Theatre and Drama.
