2006 DARC Tickets On Sale Through Outlets

From May 15th through June 15th, General Admission tickets for DRUMS ALONG THE RED CEDAR (DARC), Sunday, June 18th in Menomonie Wisconsin are available at numerous locations throughout Western Wisconsin. At ticket outlets, fans can save $2 – $3 off gate prices.

These outlets include: WESTconsin Credit Union offices in: Menomonie, Amery, Baldwin, Barron, *Hudson, New Richmond and *River Falls; Lammer’s Food Fest in Menomonie, Mega Pick’n Save Foods in Eau Claire (2 locations) and Chippewa Falls. The outlets are listed with MAP links on the DARC Web Site at: www.darc.us/outlets.htm. Outlets marked with * are just a short drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

For VIP Reserved E-Tickets at a $7 discount off gate price, fans may buy on line at www.darc.us. Mail orders will also be accepted for mailing through the end of May only, and order forms may be printed from the Web site. Group Rate E-Tickets are available on-line only for as low as $5 each.

This year’s event features a 3:30 p.m.clinic conducted by the Madison Scouts. Corps scheduled for the competition include the Scouts, Colts, Blue Stars, Minnesota Brass Sr., Capital Sound, and Chops, Inc. Sr.. The main competion begins at 6:00 pm.

The Chippewa Valley Brigade, a new junior corps based in the Chippewa Valley area of Wisconsin will open the event playing "The National Anthem" and presenting the colors.

Title sponsors for the event are WESTconsin Credit Union, Chippewa Valley Newspapers, Inc. and Charter Communications.

Known as the "Chippewa Valley’s Premier Family Music Event", the fifth annual competition was voted the "Best Organized Show in the Midwest" by Drum Corps International (DCI)-Central Division corps directors in 2004.

Held at the highly regarded artifical turf stadium at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, DARC supports Community Music and Drum Corps Scholarships for area students through the Greater Menomonie Area Community Foundation.
