Kingsmen Alumni To Headline LMS LA

The San Francisco Renegades and So Cal Dream Drum & Bugle Corps are excited to announce their production of the Loud Music Symposium musical extravaganza coming to Southern California for the first time Friday, July 7, at Torrance High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. This spectacular celebration of loud music and performance artistry will tantalize the eardrums of unsuspecting listeners with an amazing showcase of diverse artists.

The Loud Music Symposium LA is a festival of decibels celebrating the variety of music and visual arts, which has become a San Francisco Bay Area essential concert event. A few of the featured performers at LMS LA include the San Francisco Renegades; So Cal Dream; Los Angeles based rock bands – E Backwards E, and The Lost Disciples.

Currently one the top ranked drum and bugle corps in the world, the San Francisco Renegades bring their brand of exciting music to the stage with their 2006 production, Stairway to Heaven. The Renegades will perform excerpts from Adventures in Time by Johnny Richards, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Toccata, by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

E Backwards E is a completely different breed from today’s Industry-soaked, Industry-built bands. They are four Michigan-native guys who grew up jamming together while learning the ins-and-outs of their craft. Their obsession for bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, and Tool fueled them to write songs that are powerful and passionate with unforgettable rhythms throughout. Now their obsession for music has led them to play locally throughout Los Angeles.

So Cal Dream is the premier senior drum and bugle corps in the greater LA area. Since their inception in 1991, they have grown exponentially in talent and musical performance. Performing so close to the entertainment industry leaves no doubt debuting their 2006 show, KB2: Music Based on the Movie Kill Bill 2, at LMS LA will be a slaughtering experience.

If "variety is the spice of life," then Lost Disciples exemplify it, as the rock world would be hard-pressed to find a band with four such unique musicians. Their newly released single, “Seed,” has hit #1 on the Broadjam charts in six different categories! Beyond the obvious well-written hooks, fist-pumping drum licks and ripping bass lines, Lost Disciples’ music has heart, soul and a powerful message.

Other artists scheduled to perform at Loud Music Symposium LA include the long awaited debut of the Anaheim Kingsmen Alumni Corps, Eddie the Rat – San Francisco’s most eclectic-something art performance group, LA resident singer-songwriter Laura Schuler, LA Comedian – Robert Lee, snare drum sensation Earl Brown, the Torrance High School Jazz Band, the San Francisco Renegades MiniCorps and Color Guard and more.

Tickets are $15 (plus $1 handling fee) if purchased in advance, and $20 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.renegades.org/loudmusic/. Torrance High School is located at 2200 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA 90501. Doors open at 6 p.m., concert begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp.
