La Crosse Tribune Article On New Blue Stars Executive Director

An Onalaska, Wis., native, who led the La Crosse Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps on the field for 12 years, now will lead the corps off the field.

Brad Furlano, 34, the corps’ drum major from 1982 to 1993, will take over as executive director Monday, replacing Greg Struve, who stepped down after last season.

Furlano said he will focus on strengthening community ties, expanding the corps’ financial base for future growth and making sure corps members have a superior experience.
