Michael Boo Compositions To Premiere In China

Valparaiso University music professor Dr. Jeff Doebler is leading the Northwest Indiana professional concert band Windiana on a two-week tour of China this June, as well as conducting several clinics and seminars for Chinese music students.

The concerts will feature three different sets of band music featuring music by American and Chinese composers, a series of songs by John Philip Sousa and music from around the world. During the tour, Windiana will premiere four China-inspired works by Chesterton composer Michael Boo ? ?Visions of Xi Hu,? ?Spirit of Jasmine Flower,? ?Shenzhou Fanfare? and ?Song of Jigong.?
